Hi Folks

We have made it home from a wonderful vacation and are ready to paddle.

This week I had the pleasure to sit down with Carol Knipper Chairperson and Linda Marks Office Manager for Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of Canada, L & A Chapter what a thrill. I wish to tell you about these ladies, Linda is the only paid staff in this chapter and yes she is girl Friday and  she does an awesome job.   Coral Knipper is so suited for her roll as chapter chair. She is kind, helpful and truely knows about MS, why? Because she has MS herself.  During our time together Carol was very informative, taking time so I understood why this illness can be so misunderstood.   A lot of the time people with MS just do not look ill, when in fact they are dealing with many types of physical difficulties and great pain. So on that note we hope to help them out and make a couple of dollars for this chapter. Oh by the way all funds from this adventure will be used to assist local MS needs. It goes without saying Carol, Linda and all on the board for this MS chapter are very excited to have us on board....

Ok Paddling.

If you haven't noticed yet, we have posted our flexible paddle schedule for the month of May. If you are reading this and you know of a group that wishes to help out or would just like to paddle with us, please let us know,  we can change or make arrangements to paddle a lighthouse at a time that would best suit everyone. This is all about fun.

First Paddle Day 8th May,2012 " Knapps Point & Nine Mile Island Lighthouses" Wolf Island.
Time & Gathering Location: We plan to gather at the " Wolf Island Ferry Docks" prior the 10:30am Ferry crossing.

We will take the 10:30 Ferry to Wolf Island, while on the ferry we can, as a group plan which lighthouse we will visit first, winds, waves and all that Kayaking stuff.   We may even end up loading the boats and transporting them to the second Lighthouse location. This should be a great first paddle, if we find we have time, we may paddle completing around Nine Mile Island or not......smiling.

Hope to see a couple of folks out there for this first paddle.

To all Paddlers please note:   Paddle safety is for most important to me.   If I see that you do not have all the correct safety gear, you will be asked not to paddle with us that day. This, I will stand firm on, sorry.   Lake Ontario is not a very forgiving lake to paddle, so safety first.

This is why we need Lighthouses ........This photo's taken this morning around 10:00hrs.

Can you fine the flag??

Hope to see you at the docks, have a good weekend.........if you would like to contact us our e-mail is morriss_2@sympatico.ca
