This is our first blog post, just a test, as this site is all about kayaking with friends we thought our first practice post should be just that. The first photo's where taken 19th March on the Napanee River with our good friend Linda, she is one happy paddler......new river, new sites and lots of nature along the way. The last three photo's where just of us over the years........Now!!! I just have to learn how to put a schedule of the Lighthouse visits on here????? that is what rainy days are for taking the time to learn how to use this blog thingy........hope you enjoy.

I love your new Blog, Rob, and have not doubt you will both figure out how to include a calendar and find it an invaluable way to record and share the details of your summer's adventures.

Thanks to the Folks who wrote back on here and e-mailed us..........truely looking forward to getting started. We are thinking this will be alot of fun and who knows we may learn some stuff and help people along the way....Cheers

Now, 20 years later what do we do this time????

My loving wife Mollie, better known as she who most be obeyed, has reminded me that sleeping on the ground for more then a week would likely do me in or she would.

Therefore, I have smartly selected a much less intense 20th year after adventure. Excitedly we invite family, friends, friends of friends as well as any interested paddlers to join us in our 20th years paddle adventure. Throughout the summer we will be doing day or over night trips, visiting all 44 active Light Houses on Lake Ontario, Canadian and U.S sides.

During these visits our goal is to have fun, promote awareness about Multiple Sclerosis, learn a little history and take many group/individual photo's with light house in the back ground. You see on completion of all our visits we hope to put together a beautiful Light House event calendar which we plan sale to for a few dollars above cost. All moneys raised on this project will be forwarded to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of Canada, Kingston chapter. In honour of a bright young lady friend who is presently dealing with her own life changing challenges Multiple Sclerosis presents daily. We will be starting our Light House visits in early May. Schedule of dates and locations will be posted on this site early May. So please feel free to join us on one or all " Light House " day trip visits. A day on the water paddling with like minded people can only be a good thing.
